We have chosen to cancel the 2024 release of “Update 6.0 - Sponsors & Accessories”.
It’s a big change of plans - but don’t worry, we’re explaining why and what’s next below!

💭 As game developers, we want Pocket Champs to always evolve in thrilling new directions - and that sometimes means betting on big changes to our established formula.
✨ Update 6.0 was exactly that - exciting, different, ambitious! We’ve been passionately working on it for longer than any of our previous updates (we first revealed Accessories more than 6 months ago!).
📝 Our intentions were clear from the start: we wanted to offer you more customization and strategy than ever before while improving parts of the game that could confuse and frustrate you.
🏆 Today, it still is our goal when thinking about the future, but it’s also become clear during the BETA and Early Access that Update 6.0 couldn’t meet your expectations despite our efforts to improve it.
❤️ Our priority is ensuring that you can have a good time today, with a game you already love! So we won’t make any major changes in 2024 and focus on delivering fun end of the year events for everyone!
💪 We learned a lot, especially by hosting a Closed BETA for the first time, and we will take some time to think about the future of our Sponsors and Accessories concept to come back with something you’ll love!
If you’re currently playing on 6.0, you will soon receive Update 5.2 which will revert gameplay systems to what they used to be, removing Accessories from the game and dividing Power into 4 stats again.
6.0 Collection content like the High King Shape will, however, remain available even in Update 5.2.
💎 After 2 months, we know many of you found and upgraded lots of Accessories. Rest assured your efforts won’t vanish: Accessories will be converted into Gems to be used elsewhere in the game.
🎁 Additionally, to thank everyone who contributed to our work on Update 6.0, all BETA and Early Access players will receive the following gifts: 1 Legendary Chest + 3 Mega Chests + 3 Epic Training Bags.
💡 Note: Your Champ’s Power was calculated differently in Update 6.0, so it can look very different once you return to 4 stats in Update 5.2, but rest assured it matches the progress you’ve made!
It’s been a great learning experience for us at Madbox and we’re forever grateful for all the time you spent sharing feedback during the BETA period and beyond - we will definitely consider doing that again!
Events, lots of events!
Due to our extended work on Update 6.0, we had to delay last week’s Halloween event.
Well, it’s definitely coming back, and it won’t be alone: We’ll just mix things up with Halloween and Winter celebrations happening all together with 2 main events you can look forward to! 🎃❄️
It all starts later this November, so stay tuned for the full reveal of how you can unlock new fun Collection items for the end of the year!
