đ Message from the team about Update 6.0 + Whatâs Next!

We wanted to share some news about âUpdate 6.0 - Sponsors & Accessoriesâ which has been in Android Early Access for a month.
Weâre super eager for all our community to discover the new features weâve been carefully crafting, and when we say âcarefullyâ, we mean it: such big gameplay changes deserve lots of time and care! đĽ°
đ¨ During the Early Access period, we realized the experience offered by Update 6.0 did not match our intentions: we thought linking Power to equipped Accessories would keep things exciting, but feedback showed it made it harder to appreciate Sponsor Effects with confusing difficulty spikes.
As always, weâre listening and we want to get it 100% right for our players! đ This will need more than minor balancing tweaks⌠so we are revamping gameplay simplicity and strategy for Accessories!
đ What this means is that we are extending Early Access for a while - we may randomly invite more players to try out Update 6.0 in October but we will wait until November to share any public release date.
We are confident this extended development time will help us build the future of Pocket Champs - see the planned changes below! đ
đ To the great disappointment of Captain Boo, it unfortunately means that the upcoming Limited-Time Event we recently teased wonât make it for Halloween. Find more about that below!
All players currently enjoying Update 6.0 in Early Access will soon receive a patch that will implement the following changes:
⢠Equipping or removing an Accessory will no longer modify your Champâs Power.
⢠Upgrading an Accessory will give a permanent increase to your Champâs Power.
This change means that your entire Accessory Collection will contribute to your Champâs Power, not just the 4 you have equipped. (Once you download this patch, this will automatically be calculated for your account.)
We hope it makes it more rewarding to keep finding and upgrading Accessories, and less confusing to understand which Accessories should be equipped when thinking about Sponsors and Effects.
Additionally, due to the above change:
⢠We will adjust how much Power you can gain from Accessories, and we will update several areas of the interface to clear up some confusion about how Power and Accessories work.
So, about that awesome Halloween-themed Limited-Time Event we have been cooking up⌠đ
Well, rest assured itâs still happening at a later date - and in honor of our dear Captain Boo, we may even keep some of the spooky vibes we had planned for Squ⌠wait, weâre not ready to reveal the eventâs name just yet!Â
Letâs just say that we took into account the feedback we received during Community Rush in July and have decided to prepare a new kind of Social event: team-based, cooperating with your friends as you aim to unlock exclusive new rewards.
What kind of rewards? Weâll be dropping hints and reveals on our social media in the coming weeks - make sure to follow us there!
