🏆 Update 4.5 - The Final Dash (New Abilities, Improved Events)
Let’s go, Coaches! We’re kicking off 2024 with a thrilling Content Update coming for all players in February!
Update 4.5 overhauls the game’s Event and Reward systems to keep things exciting 24/7 no matter how far you’ve progressed - on top of sweet improvements, bug fixes and of course new content to unlock! Did we mention 4 new Abilities? 😎

Your Hall of Fame is expanding! Ready to give new permanent boosts to your Champ? 💙🔥
• You’ll find 4 new Frames in your Collection’s Hall of Fame - each giving a “Final Dash” ability when completed for Run, Swim, Climb or Fly.
• All “Final Dash” abilities activate automatically on the last segment of a Race, boosting your Champ’s speed as they reach the finish line!
Already wondering what you’ll need to complete all 4 new Frames? Here’s a recap!
• Required Shapes: Devil, Shark, Banana, Magma.
• Required Mojis: Hello, Surprised, GG, Waterfall.
• Required Gadgets: Jetwing, Eagle Bot, Spider, Crystal Backpack, Beach Racer, Kayak, Snow Scooter, Winged Shoes.

Most of the changes listed below are based on your feedback throughout 2023, on Discord or through surveys. Thanks to everyone taking the time to share their thoughts about Pocket Champs! ❤️
• The cycle of Special Events has more variety than ever! Look forward to new Events like Marathon Day, Mystery Duel and so much more!
• Wondering about rewards? We’ve done our best to meet your expectations with opportunities to win tens of thousands of Gold, lots of Gems and more!
• We’ve made sure all rewards from past Limited-Time Events now have chances of being unlocked elsewhere in the game, including the Swan Gadget from our 2023 Anniversary Event that can now be found in Tournament Chests.
• Previously, several items required for Frames in the Hall of Fame could be impossible to find for long periods of time while you waited for them to randomly come back (such as the Shiba Shape in the Tournament Elite Division or the Strawberry Shape in a Special Event). We believe these rewards should always be available somewhere, so we've changed the way you can obtain them (for instance, the Shiba Shape can now be found in any Tournament Chest, which means you would have chances every day).
• On top of that, some Shapes and Mojis may now be found when opening Small, Big, Mega or Legendary Chests! Good luck!
💡 Note: Don’t forget to tap on any item in your Collection to see how exactly they can be obtained!
• We’re also introducing the “Mystery Shape” reward which always gives a Shape you do not own, from a huge list of possibilities, including recent Limited-Time Event content like Winter Wonderland from December 2023!
💡 Note: You may find a Mystery Shape in places such as Daily Deals, the Trophy Road or as part of Coach Mission VIP benefits. Due to this change, individual Shapes will no longer appear in Daily Deals but you may still find Gadgets and Mojis there!
• Lastly, in rare cases where you could receive a Shape or Moji you already own, any duplicates from now on will be converted into Gems!
We really hope you’ll find the cycle of Special Events to be much more exciting when you choose to use your Tickets, and that you’ll always feel like you’re making progress whenever you’re playing as you complete your Collection.
Update 4.5 adds 4 Shapes and 2 Mojis to the Collection!
From the Tournament:
• Unlock 3 new Shapes: Touchdown, Samurai and Engineer!
• These can be unlocked when they’re featured as a weekly “Best Reward” for the Elite Division.
From the Collection Awards:
• Unlock 1 new Shape and 2 new Mojis: Anubis, Victory Dance and Winking Robot.
• These can be unlocked by earning enough Tokens when you get new Collection items.
💡 Note: The Anubis Shape was inspired by a community artwork made by player Krysiart for our Anniversary Art Contest in August 2023! We hope you love our take on it and we can’t wait to host more contests where the community can contribute to Collection content! All winners of this contest will receive the Anubis Shape once the update is available for everyone.

Thanks to your feedback about Collection Awards and Tokens, we’ve adjusted how many Tokens you earn when you unlock a Collection item.
Specifically, we’ve significantly increased the number of Tokens received for the rarest items like Legendary Shapes, and for upgrading your Gadgets.
💡 Note: Due to the above change, Token requirements for existing rewards have been adjusted.
In the coming weeks, randomly selected players may experience one or all of the following changes:
• Experimental Change #1: Opponent gadgets won’t be shown at the beginning of a Race.
• Experimental Change #2: Game speed during races is about 50% faster for all animations.
We are hoping these changes make it more exciting to watch races. We may remove them overnight, or on the contrary activate them permanently for all players.
All feedback about these changes are welcome - don’t hesitate to share your thoughts on Discord!
• Fixed an issue preventing themes from changing every week when in the Master League.
• Fixed instances where the "Get promoted in the Tournament" Coach Mission would not track progress.
• Fixed an issue where the wrong Event would begin after the start timer reached 0.
• Fixed an issue where new Events could start in a completed state, making it impossible to play and claim rewards.
